Our bags have been entirely handmade using the sailcloth from the School Ship Amerigo Vespucci – 1931. The cloth comes from the largest sail on the main mast, measuring 345 square metres of the total 2600 square metres of sail area on board. Each piece will be unique and still carries the signs of sailing with its imperfections. The sailcloth has not undergone any treatment whatsoever, nor has the rope that serves as a latch.
The sailcloth is certified by an agreement reached by the Marina Militare Italiana (Italian Navy) with Rodorigo Publishing House. All pieces have been catalogued and certified.
And as the School Ship Amerigo Vespucci sets sails again full speed ahead in its journey through history we wish all our readers and sea lovers.. a good wind!
